Once again, one of my favorite novels has been bastardized by Hollywood - and for no good reason at that. It seems that every director out there thinks he is Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) and can do whatever the hell they want with no concern for the fans - and instead try to stroke their own egos by making it their own. New Percy Jackson and the Olympians Movie Trailer.

Every time I see more footage from this movie, the more I believe it'll be the next Potter franchise. Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief focuses on Percy, who is the son of Poseidon and a mortal woman. Percy is quickly drawn into the world of the Greek gods as he is framed for stealing Zeus' thunderbolt and must stop a civil war from breaking out among the gods. I still don't know how this cast came together, but this is a mega cast that will not only draw in fans of the book...
