Lionsgate Scores Another Comic-Con Hit By Distributing Solomon Kane

Finally. Someone one realized that this movie is going to sell and it's already paid for. Fangoria is reporting that Lionsgate has aquired the distribution rights to Solomon Kane... hopefully leading to a theatrical release and not just going straight to DVD. “Official” Kick-Ass Movie Trailer Released From Lionsgate

If you haven't heard about this movie yet, go back to playing with your action figures and Pokemon cards (or get up to date here & here...). Now that Lionsgate has picked up the distribution rights to Kick-Ass, we haven't heard too much. Via their Twitter feed, Lionsgate has confirmed a April 16, 2010 release date for Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass. This is going to be a guaranteed "Cinderella-story" for people bringing unsigned movies to San Diego Comic-Con. Word is, Mark Millar is already working a sequel (I just hope that John Romita, Jr. finishes the last issue before the movie comes out...).
