Batman 3 Closer Than We Think?

Gary Oldman might have been the one to let the Batman 3 shooting schedule slip while at Comic-Con, but that doesn’t make him wrong in saying that they would begin production within six months. Seems that Christopher Nolan has dropped out of directing The Prisoner (which is moving forward without him…), a movie he was set to work on after completing Inception. I guess Warner Bros. wants to have a competing comic movie out during the big Marvel push in the next few years. Rumors are still flying a...

James Cameron & Fox Release Avatar Trailer. And Crowd Goes Mild…

Ok. I purposfully missed the Avatar panel at San Diego Comic-Con. I mean, it's the guy who's biggest claim to fame were the first two Terminator movies over 20 years ago and Titanic. I still haven't watched Titanic - Celine Dion is annoying and THE BOAT F-ING SINKS! I don't care about the "journey" - the boat still sinks. Anyway, back to Avatar. This is typical Hollywood politics at work. James Cameron has long been considered "bankable" (maybe not a great or original filmmaker, but bankable...)...

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog May Be One of Whedon’s Funniest & Best

Ok, so I’m a little late to this party. Mostly because I have a pathological hate for the Buffy series, I’ve avoided most things Joss Whedon. But, after watching the complete Firefly on DVD - I was sold on anything he touched. Add to the fact that Neil Patrick Harris is an underrated comedy star and how could this be bad? Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog was phenomenal on every level. My only complaint is that it was too short. Harris stars as Dr. Horrible, a villain trying desperately to get acc...

Lionsgate Grabs Some Ass! Kick-Ass That Is…

Lionsgate has definitely pulled a major coup by land the distribution rights to the movie Kick-Ass. I was asked just the other day who I thought would manage to land the pic and I said Paramount simply because of their close relationship to Marvel Comics. Paramount, Universal and Lionsgate were all bidding on Kick-Ass after seeing the crowd’s reaction to the film at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con. Variety is reporting the deal as simply “big” and I’m sure that it’s big enough to make director ...

Legion Movie Trailer Premires with a Mature Rating…

This movie's trailer premired at last month's San Diego Comic-Con to rave reviews (check out my post here...). This is an age restricted trailer, but it frickin' rocks. Check it out below and let me know what you think. (if you're under 17, leave now...)
