Will Hawkeye be in Marvel’s Thor Movie?

The rumors have really started to fly about who will play Hawkeye in the upcoming Avengers movie. Not only that, but the rumor-mill has said that Hawkeye will get the Nick Fury treatment in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker) won’t play Captain America as previous rumors suggested, but thinks Hawkeye would be “interesting.” In an interview with Empire Online, Renner had this to say: "I don't know if I'd be right for Captain America," he said. "I met with the Marvel guys, actuall...

Reviews of Nola #1, Echo #16, Dark Avengers #11 & Ultimate Comics Avengers #4

Rating System: 0 to 1.5 stars = save your money unless you are just mindlessly collecting the title. 2 to 3.5 = worth a shot if you are up to trying something new or wanting to get back into a title. 4 to 5 = a must buy for any comic reader. TERRY MOORE’S ECHO #16 - I imagine Mr. Moore took some time off to count his money from selling the movie rights to Echo, but never fear! He’s giving us two issues of Echo in one month to get caught up! Yaaay! Julie, her sister and Agent Ivy are onboard I...

Reviews of Swordsmith Assassin #4, X-Men Legacy #229, Dr. Horrible & Mighty Avengers #31

Rating System: 0 to 1.5 stars = save your money unless you are just mindlessly collecting the title. 2 to 3.5 = worth a shot if you are up to trying something new or wanting to get back into a title. 4 to 5 = a must buy for any comic reader. Dark Reign: Siege Kicks Off The Climax To The Dark Reign Story This January

I’m worried that Brian Michael Bendis might burn himself out if he’s not careful. Spider-Woman, Dark Avengers, Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man, New Avengers, Powers and who knows what else down the pipe - that’s a pretty big monthly load for a writer. Coming in January, Bendis plans on bringing us the climax of the Dark Reign storyline with Siege. Here’s some quotes from his recent interview with Marvel.com: "We are at the climax," Bendis says of SIEGE's place within the Dark Reign epic. "Norman Os...

Weekly Comics Review for August 19

Sorry I’m a few days late on this week’s comic review, I’ve been working on ComicCenter all this week. Here’s what I’m buying or recommending for recycling this week: BUY IT! DEADPOOL: SUICIDE KINGS #5 - I really shouldn’t be suggesting that anyone buy this since I hate the multi-titles for one character; but it’s just too d@mn funny. Writers Mike Benson & Adam Glass aren’t better than regular series writer Daniel Way, but they definitely have a hilarious grasp on Deadpool. Guest-stars...
