Sure it’s a certified hit on the video game market, but will you want to see it on the big screen? Darksiders creative director and comic book artist, Joe Madureira recently said in an interview that THQ is activily trying to sell the movie rights in Hollywood. Joe Mad continued by saying that while THQ is handling “that side” of the property, he was told that they had gotten some bites and that they were also planning on a possible comic book adaptation. Whether he will be able to pull himself away from his video games long enough to draw it is the real question. Or they could just get perennial copy artist Roger Cruz to draw in his style a la the Age of Apocalypse “bookends” that made us think Joe Mad had learned to draw fast. Is there enough story for a Darksiders movie? From what I’ve seen and heard: yes. The biggest complaint most people had with the God of War franchise was the story in the later games, something that Darksiders has over it. What do you think: good or bad idea?
