During a backstage interview at The People’s Choice Awards, Hugh Jackman was feeling chatty about the future of the Wolverine franchise. “Wolverine’s going to be back. He’s going to Japan. We shoot that probably in a year, year-and-a-half, something like that.” said Jackman. Once again referencing the classic Chris Claremont and Frank Miller story of Wolverine’s time in Japan, Jackman also stated that we would see Wolverine fight in a way we haven’t before. Having made his way to Asia (Madripoor) after the events of the first movie, Logan has fallen in love with the daughter of a Yakuza clan. When the old man confronts Logan, he quickly beats and dishonors Wolverine, forcing Logan to rethink the way he fights. Given the time frame Jackman mentioned, that would put the movie’s release somewhere around the releases of Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The First Avengers and The Avengers in 2012. Might be pretty tight schedule-wise, but if Cap hits early in the year as planned and The Avengers sometime in July – that would put the ol’ canucklehead out in time for the May release that Fox loves so much.

Whaddya mean “kinda rushed”? I’ve watched alligator feedings take more time!
__I hope they have good writing like the did with the first 2/3 of Weapon X. Because the last 1/3 of the movie felt like B MovieVille and needed work. It felt like it was rushed. That being said it wasn’t a terrible movie but I did expect better.
