Every time I see more footage from this movie, the more I believe it’ll be the next Potter franchise. Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief focuses on Percy, who is the son of Poseidon and a mortal woman. Percy is quickly drawn into the world of the Greek gods as he is framed for stealing Zeus’ thunderbolt and must stop a civil war from breaking out among the gods. I still don’t know how this cast came together, but this is a mega cast that will not only draw in fans of the book; but also fans of great actors. Pierce Bronson, Rosario Dawson, Uma Thurman and Steve Coogan are just a few that are set to bring Rick Riordan’s characters to life.
