I’m holding out hope that this will be the one video game movie that won’t suck the sweat from a dead cow’s balls just from the fact that Jerry Bruckheimer is producing. If he can make a ride at Disney into a franchise… who knows? Jake Gyllenhaal fits the part and the CGI looks good.

    First, Scorpion King was a good movie. Better than the Mummy movies anyway. Second, after seeing the trailer you don’t see the visual simularities between this and Pirates of the Caribbiean?

    ___Looks good. But doesn’t look great. And when I say good I only mean a couple of notches above Scorpion King 2 except with a better screen play and somewhate better Special effect ie cgi. Perhaps with a more epic feel. Will watch but not holding my breath.

    I wouldn’t think of him first either for the part, but who knows… maybe the movie and the rest of the cast will make it worth seeing….

    Gyllenhoweveryouspellit just doesn’t do it for me. They should have picked a different actor, because he’s just not the type of person I’d see doing this.

    Hopefully I’m proven wrong.
