Variety is reporting that Sir Anthony Hopkins (Tony to his friends…) has joined director Kenneth Branagh’s Thor movie as Thor’s father, Odin. Already signed to also star in the movie are Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek) as Thor/Donald Blake, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s evil half-brother, Loki. Marvel uber-writer, Brian Michael Bendis has seen the script written by Mark Protosevich and Zack Stentz and says that the movie will be amazing. Bendis went so far as to say that this would be the best movie out of the currently planned movies from Marvel Studios. Pretty bold words, but the man knows a good story and just the cast alone should make this worth watching.
