Robert Rodriguez, a Predator, Adrien Brody
Wait, what?!? Andrien Brody in Robert Rodriguez’s Predator reboot? Guess writing new stuff is out and everything old is new and crazy. After lobbying hard to get his first “action-hero” role, Brody will step into the big shoes of the “Governator” Arnold Schwarzenegger. Variety is also reporting that Alice Braga (I Am Legend), Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3), Danny Trejo (Machete & many other cool Rodriguez projects…), Walton Goggins (The Shield), Oleg Taktarov (Righteous Kill), Mahershalalhashbaz Ali (The 4400) and newcomer Louis Ozawa will be rounding out the cast. Robert Rodriguez usually makes pretty good movies, but I’m worried since he’s only producing and not sitting in the director’s chair himself. He’s hired virtually unknown Nimrod Antal to director the first part of a franchise that everyone is hoping will continue past one movie – especially Brody who has been signed for future Predator films (betcha he lives…).Yes, yes – I know he’ll be involved in both the editing and special effects personally, but a lot can go wrong from set to film. As for the casting (other than Danny Trejo), they seem kinda wimpy for a military unit. Ok, very wimpy. Brody is good in quirky romantic comedies or sappy love stories, but in an action movie like Predators? C’mon. Other than whining his way to the girl in King Kong, what action cred does he have? Just because he’s won an Oscar doesn’t mean he can yell, “Git to da choppa!” in my book.

Buy Comics at Things From Another World
____YOU WOULD deprive us of Arnold. WHy does this movie need a reboot at all….How about a Sequel that doesn’t leave me feeling like my soul has been devoured by Mephistoles. While we are rebooting how about we put the predator in a TooToo with a shoulder gun that fires My Little PONY and Rainbow Bright figures. As the full team howls in agony and all die because a Reboot is a bad idea.
