I’ve already said my piece on a Hancock sequel here, but what was once rumor is now news. Variety is reporting that Peter Berg announced at the Toronto Film Festival that Will Smith, Charlize Theron & Jason Bateman have all agreed to be in the Hancock sequel. While the story is being kept hush-hush, Berg has said that Smith and Theron’s immortal characters will have to contend with a third “god” who has revealed themself. Berg has hinted that he would like to go more into the origin of the characters and the ancient world they are from. Jason Bateman is returning as Charlize Theron’s husband and Hancock’s PR man. Here’s to hoping that Berg ditches Hancock’s pet bird shown at the end of the first movie…
