This movie was killed during the writers strike and has been green-lit once again now that Transformers has hit theatres like a money-making machine. Hollywood is absolutely nuts over anything from the ‘80’s and this would be a great movie if done right. Unfortunately, the producers of Get Smart have picked up the ball on this movie. Strike one.

Strikes two and three come in the form of the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. MMPR was a direct and blatant rip-off of Voltron that set both TV and special effects budgets back 30 years. Plus, MMPR was already a couple of failed movies. I have a feeling that once Transformers-mania wears off, Voltron will be back in movie purgatory…
