Director Michael J. Bassett (Deathwatch, Wilderness) has brought Robert E. Howard’s pissed-off Puritan to life. According to IMDB.com, this was supposedly released in Greece in March, at Cannes and will be in Belgium and France in October. We won’t get in the States until some time next year!

James Purefoy (Rome and the prince in A Knight’s Tale…) stars as Solomon Kane, a deeply religious Puritan man that keeps evil at bay for God(kinda like Van Helsing, only this will be good…). Harry Knowles over at aintitcoolsnews.com has seen the movie and loved it. Check out the article here.
