Just read an article over at Entertainment Weekly. Apparently the holder of the movie rights to Buffy the Vampire Slayer is planning to make a new movie. Sweet, huh? Only one thing: THEY AREN’T GOING TO HAVE JOSS WHEDON INVOLVED. AS IN AT ALL.

I admit that I did not like the Buffy television and can’t get into the comic, but I do know that when it comes to Buffy, Whedon is GOD. The only reason there is still any heat for a Buffy movie is the legion of fans that buy the seasons on dvd and scoop up the comic from Dark Horse that continues the series. The Buffy property was absolute $H!T until Whedon took the wheel.

I can’t decide if this is going to be movie suicide or movie homicide after the fans have their say…
