Dark Avengers #3 – Holy Crap! Bendis is writing his opus with this book. The characterizations of Osborn and The Sentry were fascinating and the fight between the Dark Avengers and Morgana Le Fay was over-the-top. And now Doom will owe a favor to Osborn. Which makes me wonder if he didn’t have the whole thing planned to begin with…
Uncanny X-Men #507 – Since Matt Fraction and Terry Dodson have taken over this book; I have to admit that it’s been a little slow for an X-Men title. While the art is always good; it almost seems like this title has 
become the “What’s happening in the world of the X-Men this month?” book instead of a title unto itself. The current Colossus story is unneeded and doesn’t seem to help him grow at all. Just another story of a pissed-off Peter blowing off steam. But, the fact that Angel reveals in front of the Beast that he can change into Archangel again was great. It seems this is going to be a lead in to the reveal of X-Force to the rest of the X-Men. Be sure to check out the last couple of pages to see a MAJOR X-villain get their powers back.
Azrael: Death’s Dark Knight #1 – I’ll admit I liked this hero before he became “AzBats.” However, Jean-Paul Valley is now dead and the last person to have the title has just been “fired” by the very people who recruited him. Which is where the first issue picks up: “Who will wear the Suit of Sorrows and carry the Sword of Sin and the Sword of Salvation?” This is actually a splinter group of the Order of St. Dumas and they have recruited a former GCPD officer that was trained to “be” one of three people who would fill in for Batman should he be killed. The other two went insane and were killed, but Michael Lane quit and went into hiding. This is shaping up to be a good series as Talia al Ghul is searching for the Suit and the people who stole it from the Batcave. So, I’m hooked at least for the next two issues…
Wolverine #71: Old Man Logan Part Six – Whoo-Hoo!!! Wolverine isn’t 
cancelled! IT’S JUST FRICKIN’ LATE!!! The shame of it is: it’s a really good story with good art that should be in the top ten every month.
X-Force #13 – Truly the black-ops X-Team, there is always a good story twist and as much blood as the Watchmen movie every month. It’s so cool that Cyclops is asking Wolverine to lead a team and do things that even Wolverine is beginning to question. Pick up the trade to get up to speed and read a major X-Men storyline that is about to explode into all the X-books.
